Projects

Projects

The projects in the postgraduate program are divided into four cross sections:

I.          Historical configuration

II.         Productivity of the immaterial / materiality of order

III.        Latent relations: conditions of productivity

IV.       Material processes and “truth to materials”

The goal of the research program is to look at the central terms “materiality” and “production” and to

(a) analyze their aesthetic-artistic relevancy, their relationship, their semantic differentiation and their historical development as cultural-historical paradigms,

(b) study them with a focus on topics with interdisciplinary perspectives, and, subsequently, to

(c) highlight the (often overlooked) peculiarity of processes of production and materiality, which exceeds the purposive rationality that is often attributed to production and materiality, particularly in periods of stress and crises.
